HMS Hood commemorative envelope which was produced by ourselves in 2003, signed by the late Ted Briggs. This cover bears the hugely relevant DSM Stamp (Distinguished Service Medal), awarded for bravery at sea.

Postmarked with a special BFPO 85th anniversary of the launch of HMS Hood postmark permission for the use of which, was given by Lord Hood himself. At Ted Briggs request, a donation was made to the HMS Hood Association after we produced these wonderful commemorative envelopes.

THE SIGNATURE

Ted Briggs (1923-2008) Fulfilled a childhood dream when posted to the Hood, Ted was one of only three survivors of the sinking of HMS Hood in 1941 by the German battleship Bismarck.
